An exclusive e-newsletter for members of the AMA in Tasmania
There are three links (logos) below that take you to the respective health policies for each of the major parties for this Saturdays State Election.
Please have a look at the positions each of the parties take.
The AMA has two main areas of concern the first being the need for additional beds, at least 150, to ensure the public hospital system can operate at an optimum level of 85% occupancy. Secondly we are calling for additional intern places in coming years so that all medical graduates trained in Tasmania can work in Tasmania when they graduate.
I invite you to inspect the AMA Website everyday in the run up to this Saturday. www.amatas.com.au
Enter into you diary now the AMA annual general meeting which will be held at the Launceston Country Club Casino on Saturday the 24th April at 12.30pm. A stand up lunch will be provided followed by the AGM and a forum on Aged Care in Tasmania. The whole session will be finished by 3.30pm. Members from all three regions are requested to be there.
